A restored post mill from 1820 in village Sobótka.
Another look into the past!
I think it's worth it, I was fascinated!

The post mill is the earliest type of European windmill. Its defining feature is that the whole body of the mill that houses the machinery is mounted on a single vertical post, around which it can be turned to bring the sails into the wind.

Sobótka is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Ostrów Wielkopolski, within Ostrów Wielkopolski County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It lies approximately 20 kilometres north-east of Ostrów Wielkopolski.

It is clear just what skills were necessary, of working with wood, to create a technological feature, like this.
This would have been made before huge machinery made woodworking much quicker and simpler.
The huge, pinned wheel is amazing!

bardzo atrakcyjna prezentacja tek starodawnej machinerii.
Przyjemne kolory od brazow az do zieleni. Tak jabys zaaplikowal jakis filtr z gradientem.
Musze koniecznie sprawdzic gdzie jest ta Sobotka :)

Another fine shot of the mill and it reminds me of the inside of a giant wooden wristwatch! I looked up the green chemical and the most common is ACQ — Alkaline Copper Quaternary. Tfs!

Fascinating indoor shot revealing the workings of the mill and great work in bringing out all the details. Great light, well handled throughout where we can see a sense of its age and natural colours. Really interesting info and so love what you have achieved with this. Excellent shot
