Pico do Arieiro.

Directly accessible by road, the Pico do Arieiro (sometimes written Areeiro) is a starting point for hiking to the 2 highest peaks of Madeira, Pico Ruivo (1862m) and Pico das Torres (1851m). Pico do Arieiro is at the third position (1818m).

That day, they were many of them who walked above the clouds on the way to the highest peaks of Madeira.

In WS, another view on the mountain with, on the foreground, an Echium (Echium candicans), a native plant of the Madeira island.

fab photo. Great pov. I love the way some of the walkers are enveloped in cloud.I like the contrast between bright fg flowers and the dark rock behind.

Bonjour Delphine,

C'est un très joli paysage avec la touche de couleur des fleur jaunes au premier plan. Les nuages qui baignent les montagnes masquent certes le panorama mais apportent également une certaine atmosphère.

Très bonne photo (à voir en grand format) animée par ses randonneurs. L'endroit est beau et la brume ajoute une atmosphère particulière. La photo du WS est très belle également.

A fantastic landscape, one could almost believe this is an open volcano with lots of smoke, not just clouds around. The people bring a good sense of dimensions here. A very interesting capture.

Hello Delphine,
I love trekking in the mountains! It is so rewarding to climb the peak and feel the sensation of the achievement. The place you are showing looks spectacular. The mountains have this severe and a bit rough atmosphere about them and the clouds floating in between them add very much to it. I like the small group of people in the composition. Thanks to the distant POV their presence is not bothering but rather making the image more complete by giving us sense of scale.

Impressionnantes et merveilleux de ce paysage spectaculaire, des nuages qui obtiennent entre les pics augmenter la beauté de l'endroit, les gens qui regardent la scène, contribue à la proportion de la grande image.
Très belles tons colorés très efficace.

The view from the spot looks enticing..
The rugged peaks with steep slopes looks to be challening to climb. The yellow flowers in the FG add a fine bit of colour. Lovely work!

C'est une très belle image et moi qui suis adepte de la rando,je dois avouer que tu me fais saliver.Ce devait être une somptueuse balade.On a l'impression,avec la présence des nuages,que les randonneurs sont au bord d'un cratère en activité.
J'aime ta mise en page très sobre,la netteté des roches et de la végétation ainsi que la luminosité des couleurs.
