Photographer's Note

This one was taken on a beautiful afternoon at one of the most visited places in Portugal, namely the Basilica de Nossa Senhora do Rosario de Fatima. It is also one of the world’s largest Catholic pilgrimage sites, attracting between 4 and 5 million visitors every year. The church itself was built between 1928 and 1953 in Neo-Baroque style. I enjoyed the soft colours of a solid limestone all over the sanctuary, plenty of open space, pleasing views from a wide, fully covered terrasse along the front facade and facing the main square. This was my second visit there, still very appreciative time rich in new observations.
