Photographer's Note

This post is a kind of mild outrage - for both Spaniards and Portuguese. I post it in the Portugal's gallery but frame the photo with the Spanish flag ;-)

Olivença / Olivenza de jure can be a Portuguese town (as it was indeed for centuries), but de facto it's under Spanish administration since its occupation in 1801. Please see my previous post and the note: Olivença - Olivenza.
There you find links about the Olivença issue, among them the Grupo dos Amigos de Olivença (in Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and Italian) and Olivenza - Olivença in Wikipedia (English, with links to the pages in Catalonian, Spanish (Castilian), French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, and Finnish).
This bad quality shot shows a part of the castle, constructed by the Portuguese, as the other monuments of the city.

Isto é uma pequena provocação, tanto a espanhóis como a portugueses. Coloco esta foto de Olivença na galeria de Portugal, mas ornamento-a com a bandeira espanhola.
