Photographer's Note

This is one more addition to my Tobacco Filter Collection. If you don't like it, there is a similar photo with no filter on the Workshop.

The Carcavelos beach is the first ocean beach after the mouth of the Tagus River with other forming the Estoril Coast. It is located between the beaches of 'Parede' and 'Santo Amaro de Oeiras'. In the Winter it has waves of national class where many surfers already started into the sport. Frequented by many people, surfers and not surfers, even in winter. It forms fast and tubular waves loved by all surfers in the area.

The Fort of Saint Julian's Bar is located at the tip of St. Julian, on the right bank of the Tagus river in the town of Oeiras, and parish of St. Julian of Barra, Oeiras, Distrito de Lisboa, Portugal.
Considered in the past as the Shield of the Kingdom, the largest marine fortification in the country, is the largest and most comprehensive military defense complex in Vauban style remaining in Portugal. Had originally, in conjunction with the Fort of St. Lawrence the Monkey, who cooperated, the function of controlling the entry and exit of vessels on the bar of the Tagus river and access to the port of Lisbon.
Today is the official residence of the Minister of National Defence of Portugal.
