Photographer's Note

This fountain stands at the gardens of the palace of Queluz near Lisbon. The city has not much to offer but the palace and gardens are gorgeus. I decide to dedicate a theme to this place so that you also kan enjoy it.

I really like the garden arrangements in this beautiful palace. The polarised blue sky and the immense green trees create a nice background to this elegant fountain. Best regards, Tolga

Hi Kik,

Wow! The exposure here is remarkable! Excellent use of the polarizer - the sky looks impressively blue. One thing I can never decide when using a polarizer on a scene with both a sky and water is whether to darken the sky or cut the reflection. I see you've chosen the first - which makes sense, because the reflections of the statues happen to be desirable in this circumstance.

Impressive dynamic range - both statues and background are well-exposed.

Great shot with the beautiful Neptuns statue in the water.

I visited portugal many times and passed in front the gate of this famous palace but I never knew it, maybe in the next year...
very beautiful framing showing this sculptures in a nice way, with water it would be different, but here it is nice because we can see all these details better. nice job

Hi,
this is a place which I did not visit during my last trip to Lisbon. Now I regret it as it seems like a fantastic and very photogenic place. Here I like very much the well saturated colors which make this photo very eye catching.
