Photographer's Note

Some days ago, Gonçalo Bluejeans posted a nocturne shot whose pov resembles this one and that made take another look of this series that was half forgotten (my other posts featuring this town of Sintra were shot the day before and received more attention). I didn't resist posting it. I didn't even bother finding another title, I am shamelessly using the one of Gonçalo's post, although "village" may not be the most appropriate word for referring to Sintra.

If I am not mistaken, the tower seen on the left is part of the building of the Câmara Municipal (Town Hall). This WS shows that tower more closely.

Maybe it is a bit dark, but having that intense sun on the mostly white façades didn't leave me alternative. I have tried several techniques using layers aiming at slightly darkening only the bright walls, but all the results were deceptive contrast wise.

Location (latitude, longitude):
• Tower (point marked on the map link): 38.79897,-9.3882
• POV: 38.797614,-9.39

Update 2-Dec-2007: After reading some of the critiques, I posted a WS with another crop and PP and also the original unprocessed image.
