Remembering Spring when Autumn is coming, a photo from Portalegre, South

Photographer's Note

The temperatures are still like Summer, but the clouds and the atmosphere in general don't let us forget that very soon it will be Autumn (argh :(), so it sounds a good idea to post something from Spring, like I did last year. This is again my Alentejo, somewhere between Crato and Alter do Chão. Can you hear the frogs croaking and the birds singing?

Olá José,
Que lindeza este curso d'água numa bela diagonal em um canto da imagem, deixando a vastidão dos campos, com as árvores da Ana (:-), tomarem conta da imagem. A cor da água é particularmente bonita e as nuvens dão um certo movimento, a foto lembra aqueles vídeos em que a câmera passeia rasteira sobre as maravilhas do nosso planeta.
Vejo que guardas sempre de reserva para o outono, umas imagens primaveris ;-)

Olá José,

You are one of funny participant of popular posting theme ;) There isn't different for me because we have only tropical summer in Suriname with four different rainy seasons as I wrote before.

Small brook adds additional depth and color differences on ridges are wonderfully captured. Great addition of sky too. Have a nice week end.

Me gusta el punto de vista utilizado, para permitirnos observar el riachuelo a la derecha, en profundidad con la campiña. Gran iluminación, magnificas tonalidades.

Beautiful Spring shot with splendid colours, which will no doubt become a wee bit more colourful later on in the month. I love the stream with all the petals and the three trees on the hills. Natural colours, excellent POV.

This is a fine landscape shot. The stream leads the eye through the shot giving the photo a nice sense of direction. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.

Olá José, o tempo não anda nada famoso para fotos. Como dizes, até está quentinho, mas hoje já apanhei chuva a andar de bicicleta. Vamos lá haver como está amanhã...Esta está muito bonita, como já é de esperar da paisagem do Alentejo ;-) Até o branco do céu ficou bem na combinação de manchas de cor, fazendo também um maior contraste com as 3 árvores, que são o meu pormenor favorito, juntamente com o suave ondular do amarelo onde estão plantadas. Dito isto, confesso que aquelas estacas(?), sendo quase imperceptíveis, acabam por me incomodar um bocadinho. Este riacho faz uma excelente diagonal para nos levar por aí fora antes de encontrarmos as árvores, mas a mim apetece-me logo saltar logo para lá. Já estou a ver um enquadramento vertical só com elas e o céu...

Any idea how lucky you were with those trees ont he left? They are the cream on the cake, because without them the whole picture would be out of balance. So therefor a big hurray for your composition, colour and thise nice landscape...

Yes, fall is definitely on its way here- faster than normal I think. I like the idea of this post as well as the image itself, which is cheerful and bright and depicts a lovely scene. I think I like the vertical crop better, but both are nice.

Merhaba Jose,
I like the horizontal version :) As it is a landscape surrounded by a lovely stream, I prefer seeing this view with a wide-angle .
A few lonely trees on the hill and the polarized sky make the composition fantastic.

Petit rappel printanier qui fait du bien. Joli cadrage sur ce coin de campagne agréablement valonné. J'avoue avoir une préférence pour cette photo, le format vertical enlève ce sentiment d'espace formé par la prairie. Les couleurs sont naturelles et très agréables. Le ruisseau donne de la profondeur à l'image. Paysage reposant et harmonieux, merci José.

Hello José. I am not sure about the birds but looking at the water in that narrow canal, I can definitely hear frogs croaking in spring. This is truly clever title with the image captured so well here and in the ws. The spring dream is very well established in the shot with the anticipation of summer to come. The pasture with a few beautiful trees are an attraction with the sky well kept on a smaller division of the frame. I like this shot and thanks so much for sharing. Best regards. Jusni

Olá José,
the love for details here is what I like most. The good clarity and POV really open this one, the flowers and blades of grass could nearly be counted. The diagonal line created by the creek and surrounding to the forest in the background is strong and in the workshop version even stronger, but both are different in the impression. I like the workshop but miss the impression of the hills with the trees.
