Constancia is a verry small village build at the steep hills van river Tejo and Zezere. One of most important portuguese poets lived hier 2 years. This is a typical street of this melancolic village

The exposure is excellent, the light does not blur the details, the shades are clear. The point of view is quite selected. A very beautiful photograph with superb colors.

I love this bright colors and wide angle shot. If you translate this into a line drawing ... it will be intersing perspective study.

Do you think you could have cropped the bottom section a bit as the gray color is slightly distracting, but overall impact is nice.

looking at your shot I really can't find this village so melancolic!
Excellent POV and light management and beautiful bright colors! maybe the sharpening after resizing has added a little noise on that wonderful blue sky, but it's really not a problem at all, because the real focus is on the yellow-white little street!
Maybe I would have included the whole step on the bottom, cutting away a little bit of the sky, but still I find it a really beautiful shot!

Hi Kik, I tried to guess where this was without looking at the location. It could have been anywhere from Spain, Portugal, Italy or Greece. So typically Mediterranean with beautiful colour rendering, excellent vertical framing, and superb perspective. And despite the strong light, the image is exposed perfectly. I love it, I feel like hanging it up on my office wall so I can remind myself why it is that I work hard :) Have a good Saturday, Lisa

Nice view inside the narrow street with stairs. Nice intense colours and correct sharpness too. It is well exposed with details in the shadow as well as in highlights areas.

Hi Kik,

The wide angle lens sure makes for an interesting point of view and works great for this vertical format. I actually like the "unnatural" lines that it creates, it's a bit more eye catching. Love the exposure on this, the shadows have nice detail and the highlights are in tact. The blue and yellow colors are a nice combination. Happy New Year and best wishes for 2013!
