Photographer's Note

Here you see one of the beautiful, long aisles of the Mosteiro dos Jerònimos.

The Mosteiro dos Jerónimos was built in 1544. It`s one of the most important buildings of "Manuelinic Architecture" (named by Manuel I 1495-1521) which is a late type of Late Gothik that also shows some elements of Renaissance.

The sarcophagus of Fernando Pessoa, Vasco da Gama and Luis de Camoes are staying in this phantastic building.
The lenght of this building is 300 m and its facad is made by lime stone.
There are also a Museum of marine and the Archeological Museum in this building.
