We are always in Ponta de São Lourenço, in the locality of Estreito, a little more in the west of the point where I took my preceding photography.
Here, it's the deepth blue of the Atlantic Ocean which challenged me. It's also the occasion to show you the diversity of rock which composes this island.

Hi Christophe,
The only thing that is missing is a sailship. The colours are wonderful, great contrast between water and sky. Composition with the rock and the clouds above are excellent. A minor thing is the barrel distortion on the horizon, but that does not bother me to much, i like the overal scenery a lot.

j'apprécie la lumière ici qui met en valeur ce gros rocher. Belle compo avec un ciel nuageux qui permet d'ajouter du relief.

Impressionnante masse au milieu de l'eau ! J'espère qu'elle est signalée par gors temps ou la nuit !!!
Tes valeurs de prises de vue sont étonnantes F/20 et 1/15s !

Excellent composition, great colours (the two blues are really nice) and superb sharpness. Pity the horizon is a bit curved but the lens did not help much. Don’t worry, it is a fantastic picture.

Vraiment tres jolies.
j'ai bien ce cadrage, les couleurs sont juste Magnifique.
c'est paradisiaque comme endroit, ce Rocher a du affrontrer bien des tempetes.

C'est bon je l'admets il va pas si mal ce Sony !

Hello Christophe -

This is a very nice image and slightly under rated in my opinion. The horizon is well placed and you have some nice contrast between the sky and the sea. I wish there had been a vessel of some sort to add further interest either in FG or the BG but things don't always come together like we would like. All of the technical aspects of the image are spot on. The horizon looks to tilted or has some lens distortion but it is not so bad as to effect the quality of the image. Well done.
