Photographer's Note

We are us here in the starting point of one of the most beautiful excursions of Madeira, on the top of Pico Ariero (alt. 1818 m). Built there is a little more than thirty years, a lane mountain makes it possible to connect the three higher mountains of the island than are Pico Ariero, Pico das Torres and Pico Ruivo.
The landscape is feeric here, in a succession of rises and descents, passing alternatively from the fog to the sun, we discover a diversity of landscapes and colors really spectacular. On this image, Pico do Cidrão (on the left, alt. 1798 m) and part of Pico do Gato (on the right, alt. 1780 m).
