Photographer's Note
This is a view from the highest point in Crato, near the remains of the medieval castle. I bet that some times the yellow and orange of the flowers covering the fields is much more intense, but even so, I think that this photo presents well the aspect of the fields of this part of Alentejo not only in Spring, but also whenever there are a couple of sunny days after some rain, which can happen a bit randomly from October to May.
Link to all my posts of Crato: *.
Location (latitude, longitude): 39.287,-7.6434
---
PS: I attached a WS with to a post that riclopes did a year ago showing a chimney that is located near the POV of my last post.
PPS: Following feather's suggestion, I posted a WS with the image cropped so the little chapel would comply the 'rule of thirds'. I also tweaked a bit the levels and saturation.

It is a wonderful POV indeed. I thought you must be hang gliding :D It's lovely to see so much green after such a long winter. Finally spring has arrived in the UK but still so many trees are bare yet. What are the trees in the landscape? It look as if it is in a plantation of some kind - olive trees? It certainly creates a wonderful, almost graphic effect. The little white church makes an excellent focal point in the image. I wonder if it was possible to frame the image slightly to the right so the church was settled more on a thirds intersection - top left. I know we shouldn't be bound by these rules but I think it might have just given the image a bit more impact. Anyway it's a good shot, from a superb POV. Well done

Hello Jose, a good POV which enables us to see so much of the landscape.
I like the curved walls which snake across the picture, taking us to the church and separating the fields from the hill in our fg.
The trees give a lovely texture.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Jose,
Beautifull land... and you have worked this well...
I like the high view that captures the vastness ans well as the spring moods in there.
Fine tones.

Olá José,
the good high POV offers a wide view of that nice landscape full of trees. The chapel is also in that one not really wrong placed and together with the small wall a point for the eye. The rocky slope at the left and the leaves below us add some difference to the landscape. Good presentation of that region from an overview.

Olá José,
Magnificent view of this valley. So much green what is absolutely required now - spring ask to wait for itself so long this year and the weather is still not as it should be...
Nevertheless the photo looks very spring - like. I like this few houses among plants and trees. And POV is superb!
Best greetings,
Mikeo

Γειά σου José,
very nice and beautiful this panoramic view in this high point of Charo.I like the depth and the good placement of the little chapel in the scene.I think that the rules of third is not panacea and if you have a center theme i don't mind the more times to put in the middle or somewhere around.
Χαιρετισμούς,Danos
PS Γειά σας is third person(Of politeness) of plural. If you write to a friend write γειά σου.
Χαιρετισμός is singular but the correct word if you take farewell someone is Χαιρετισμούς (regards), Plural.

Hi Jose,
I like this great composition, POV is excellent and I even like it without the sky, all these nice trees in the background and the bigger ones in the foreground create a wonderful depth of field. Colors are very nice and so is the photo, cheers mate!
Best regards

I like this image, but given all possibilities, I believe the ws version represents an incremental improvement. This must be wine country!?! Warm regards, José.

Jose,
a composicao e a visao estao magistral.

Jose, this is a nice shot and while I see the differences in the WS presentation I am not sure that it improves it, I like the original the best. The colors adn detail are fine and feeling is of a close view in a huge landscapr. Nice capture.

Ola Jose,
Interesting as the trees in front of the little chapel look almost like people. Nice view of this valley from such a high point. The colours seem a bit soft but overall is a nice composition. Thanks for sharing Jose.

ricardo

linda vista. bem lusitana..

Hello Jose,
A very nice landscape scene with orchards and a lot of greenery.
A gorgeous pace with a very good POV.
I like the WS where the house is placed in the rule of thirds.
Well done!
