This is the REAL Dracula´s (Vlad Tepes) castle at Bran. During our visit we suffered a strong storm that made it even more interesting.

Suggestion: put some more contrast in the picture so the dark parts make it more mysterious and creepy. Maybe a bit of darkening on the right side of the tower...

Maybe it's the brightness of the monitor which makes me saying this. Or yours is too dark.

Not the Dracula's castle that is actually a hotel, the real thing, this is one building that is steeped in blood, very eerily in black and white too.

A nice composition, the head of the tower on the right lets the viewer glide into the shot. And I love the structure of the roofs, all very sharp edged areas as well. The two windows might let people wonder what happens behind them ;-)

Your framing is original. At first view I was surprised, but, looking again, there is something I like. Still don't know why, perhaps the atmosphere, close to Greg's romanian shots.

This is a great picture, but Dracula (Vlad Tepes)never actually lived at Bran. Bram Stoker used it as a model for the home of the Dracula character in his book. The real Vlad the Impaler was born in Sighisoara and his castle is Poienari in Wallachia(not even Transylvania).

Nice shot. I, too was at Dracula's castle...not in the mist, but on a sunny Sunday morning. I like your "sinister" b & w photo more than those I took...it adds to the "mystic" and lugubrious image of this place.

what a beautiful picture this is. it's a little creepy yet so alluring. sort of like a black and white silent film.

the white on the right side of the tower is a bit distracting, but it's wonderful otherwise.
