Photographer's Note
Mount Tâmpa, Brasov
Tâmpa (German: Zinne, or Kapellenberg; Hungarian: Cenk; Latin: Mons Cinum) is a mountain, part of the Postăvaru Massif, located in the southern part of the Eastern Carpathians (more precisely in the Curved Carpathians) and almost entirely surrounded by the city of Braşov. Its elevation is 960 m (995 m according to some sources), almost 400 m above the city.
The mountain is mostly made up of limestone formations, having risen up gradually from the earth's crust.
Most of the mountain (1.5 km²) is a declared nature reserve, due to the rare animal (bears, birds, butterflies—35% of Romanian butterfly species) and plant (a rare Liverleaf variety, Transylvanian Windgrass) species that are found there. A number of routes to the summit exist: there are 25 winding paths cut in 1837 by Braşov's forest administration; Gabony's stairs; the Knights' road, dating to the days of the Braşovia citadel; and an auto road. A cable car makes the journey between the cabin/restaurant Casa Pădurarului at the base of the mountain to the Restaurantul Panoramic, on its crest, in under three minutes. The view from the summit is spectacular, offering a panoramic view of the city; on a clear day, the entire Burzenland is visible.

Photo info
I took this picture before nightfall at the end of last year from nearby the White Tower located on an elevation in the northern part of the Old Town. The picture was taken from a tripod. The approximate location can be seen in this picture, right behind the Black Church, where the top of the White Tower is visible.
You can see some of the monuments I had photographed and posted previously, like the Council Square with the Old Town Hall in the left and the Black Church in the right. The Town Wall runs around the Old Town and you can see the line of lights at the base of Tâmpa mt. which illuminate it during the night. The Ecaterina's Gate is located in the right side of the picture (where the light is, right behind the Black Church's tower). Another portion of the Town Wall goes right under the White Tower (where I took this picture from), not visible because of the path and rail in the foreground. I plan to take a picture of the whole Old Town from top of the Tâmpa mt. in the background, to show you a view where you can easily identify the monuments I had photographed and posted before.
This is the composition I liked the most from the ones taken from here. I hope you find it appealing too. Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions.

Hello Eduard!
Another attractive night shot with some extraordinary colors and excellent shadings. The composition is good even if I had prefered the picture without the railings, but thats really nothing to complain about since it's still an amzing photo! Compliments for this one.

Hi Eduard
The light and colours are so pretty here. The sharpness and exposure is also very good given the dark conditions. The curved road and tree branches seem to give balance.

Eduard,
This is a great night shot with much color and detail. You have done a nice job of blending natural and artificial lighting to create a very fine image. I like the inclusion of the rail in the foreground.

Hi, Eddie,
great winter scene here. Again I am just stunned by your lighting. It somehow reminds me of a toy village set up for the holidays. I am amazed at the way you maintain such excellent detail in these evening shots. I like the contrast in the warm lights surrounding the church lit by cool blue tones and the overlook in the forground makes it a nice view. Very well done!! Thanks and kindest regards,
Shelly
