Photographer's Note

Back in August, I managed to sneak out for a couple of weeks and went home to visit my loved ones. I did go back to Romania, where my real home is, but during the days I spent over there I felt more like a tourist rather than feeling like home. I guess I will get used to it again, once I finish up my exile in the US and go back for good. So, at that time I did what any tourist would do: I wondered around, visiting places... and since I spent several days in Bucharest I couldn't leave without shooting at least one of the most photographed buildings in town: the Intercontinental Hotel.
I found a good POV but the building wasn't fitting in my camera even at the widest focal length of the lens. My friends were impatiently waiting for me in the street after I had already taken a shot somewhat similar to my TE anniversary photo. Eventually, I managed to squeeze in the top of the building in landscape mode by placing the camera just a few centimeters off the ground in the furthest possible spot, I guess the apex of the driveway.
I hope you'll enjoy the result despite the slight tilt.
