Photographer's Note

The Timișoara Orthodox Cathedral is a Romanian Orthodox church in Timișoara, in the historical Banat region, in western Romania. The cathedral is the seat of the Archbishop of Timișoara and Metropolis of Banat. It is dedicated to the Three Holy Hierarchs, Saints Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian, and John Chrysostom.

Built on an area of 1,542 m2, it has 11 towers, of which the central and the highest has a height of 90.5 meters. The Metropolitan Cathedral is listed in the National Register of Historic Monuments.

Hello Daniel,
You have made good use of the foreground paving to create an interesting set of lead-lines towards the cathedral. The people animate the scene and supply scale for the vast square. Agreeable lights and colours, acceptable sharpness.

Hello Daniel,
It's a nice view towards the cathedral, which is well framed by the fine old buildings. There is a lot of empty ground in the lower half, but the nice design of the tiles make it worth it.

J'aime beaucoup l'effet provoqué par le point de vue très bas ainsi que par l'utilisation du cadrage vertical qui apporte profondeur et ampleur à l'ensemble avec en point d'orgue cette belle église.

Nice repetition of the white diamond patterns in the pavement with excellent sharpness and perspective. The Metropolitan Cathedral is well positioned over the vanishing point. Tfs!

Long range POV through the large square towards the prominent tower of the cathedral. Grey checkered tiles in the FG, than a colorful garden, both sides facades with their older archi.-design.

A rather unusual POV with such a large open area at the front but .... it is effective because of the pavement patterns leading towards the Catherdal. Well done

A shot seen from low view point and the use of wide angle lens has exaggerated the perspective with oodles of impact, enhanced by strong vivid colour. A powerful urban scene well illuminated in natural light with adequate detail and sharpness. Well done, Congrats.
