Roofs of Sighisoara, a photo from Mures, West

Photographer's Note

I took this picture in Sighișoara (Hungarian: Segesvár, German: Schäßburg), a beautiful old town in the historic region of Transylvania. The old town of Sighișoara is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. I took the picture from the Turnul cu Ceas, The Clock Tower of Sighișoara.

About the picture: I sharpened and cropped the picture a little bit. I also gave it some warmer colours and a little saturation.

Hello Stef,
Excellent view over these rooftops, some evidently quite old, others less so. The small gap gives us a glimpse of life on the street. Pleasant lights and colours and very good sharpness.

Hej Stef!
This is a great photo entirely to my taste. The roofs of all kinds and shapes, and the buildings facing various directions almost make this look like a work by a cubist painter. I also took a photo looking down from that tower, but in a different direction. I also enjoyed Sighișoara a lot.

Dit uitkijkpunt bood een prachtig zicht op de vele oranje daken van het stadje, sommige oud, sommige nieuw, wat zorgt voor een leuk contrast. Het heldere licht was ook aangenaam.

Hello Stef, that picture gives an insight to the remarkable architecture in Sighișoara. The colorful roofs are mainly made of tiles. The houses were built very close to each other. Good light, neat photo

Heerlijke foto vind ik dit. De huizen lijken helemaal holderdebolder door mekaar neergezet, alsof er geen plaats meer gelaten is voor straatjes. Veel knappe kleuren, vlakjes en hoeken in dit beeld. Mooi werkje!

Dit is een van de mooiste detail foto over verschillende dakbedekkingen.
Ongelooflijk hoe scherpen kleurrijk alles is weergegeven.

Terrific close view of roofscape with many variations of style all cramped together but there is still some similarity in it! The ascent is very well displayed here in great detail, texture and its traditional colours. It's worth the climb seeing - IMO from there you have the best view. Congrats

Je hebt een fantastisch punt gevonden om deze wirwar van daken en gele muren tot een prachtig abstract schilderij om te toveren. Ik heb een dergelijk beeld een paar keer gebruikt voor een echt schilderij.

Hello Stef,

Beautiful view fo the Sighisoara roofs. It is a really magical city. I liked it very much even after I was bitten by a dog there and had to have anti-rabies injections. See here Wonderful roof tiles - old and new.

Hello Stef, a wonderful view of the many roofs, all shapes and colours, and set at so many different angles from each other.
It is a great abstract scene of a real place.

Hi Stef,
The tower offered a great viewpoint, and I think tight framing works best for showing these roofs. Less orderly fashion of all the buildings is fascinating. I think a bit darker exposure would show the colours even better.
