One TE year / At lake Bucura, a photo from Hunedoara, West

Photographer's Note

Well, my friends, one important year has passed in my life, one year at TrekEarth. I must say thanks to you all, who helped to improve me in photogrphy. Special thanks to my favourite members who helped the most during that time!

I wasn't at home on the anniversary day (25th August), I was in the Retezat National Park, in Romania, so now I present you a photo that I took on that day.

This is lake Bucura and the Bucura Custura peak above.
Lake Bucura is a glacier cirque lake, situated in the Retezat Mountains, in Romania. It is located south of the main ridge, at an altitude of about 2,041 m. It is the largest glacier lake in Romania, having an area of over 8 hectare. The Bucura Custura peak is 2370 meters high.

What a nice dedication for your first year's celebration!
You should be well aware that you and all your favourites did also develop themselves a lot. It is very easy to see that when you compare the photos of one year before. This is the benefit of TE and useful cirtiques for sure...
Wonderful light, clarity and crop here. The mirroring lake, the greenery on the mountain...oh, what a wonderful landscape :)
It is very nice to have you and your beautiful photos here in TE.
Hope to be here together for many years more ;))

Hi Marton,
Congratulations for your anniversary and efforts invested in TE!
This place looks pretty isolated and tranquil, and the mountain lake has a kind of frozen look. The slopes add dnamics with its rich texture, which is combination of pasture and rocks.
The little remark goes on the account of slightly oversaturated colours, or perhaps it my screen to blame for...

i like a lot this image!!the light and colours are good..the qualitty is good too..i'm not so sure about the frame..maybe a simple one could be better..but that's just my opinion

Hi Marton,

Congrats on you first year. Great landscape pic, I didn't know Romania hosts that kind of places. Sharpness is good but the colors looks a bit unnatural on my screen. The water is blurred, which gives an impression of longer shutter speed but that isn't the case. Did you climb the peak?
I enjoy your photograpy, keep it up!

Nice picture with an excellent point of view,nice colors and good sharpness!
the only thing I would have made different is the frame...I would have made a big white one instead of the small black one.

Well, about one and a half week too late, but still, congratulations on your first TE-anniversary. This is a beautiful landscape, the texture of the slopes of the mountains looks wonderful and I like to see the reflection in the water too. The light makes it extra attractive. Well done!

egy kicsit ugyan megkésve de gratulàlok az elso évfordulòdhoz. Meg kell, hogy mondjam mint sokan màsok, te is làtvànyos fejlodèsen mentèl keresztul a TE-n. Fotòid egyre szebbek ès kifogàstalanabbak, beleértve a fentit is.

Hi Marci,

for who wants to know the East Europe, your gallery is a very nice reference. What a wonderful nature scenary. Pure beauty! Love the intense colors and the combination between their tones. The layers were well divided, with the diagonal of the field in the foreground, the lake with calm water and finally the mountains in the back. It would be nice to be in a place like that with a camera. Very good work!
