Photographer's Note

View of the mountain chalet on the Popradske Lake in the High Tatras.
Mengusovska valley is one of the largest valleys on the south side of the High Tatras
The valley is bordered by Bast and Popradsky Ridge. The valley is closed off by a part of the main Tatran ridge from Čubrina to Rysy.
Valley length: 7,5 km
Popradské pleso is one of the most visited spots in High Tatras and a starting point for many popular hikes including to Rysy and Kôprovský štít. Near to the lake there is Symbolic Cemetery, built in a memory of the victims of the High Tatras.

A Swiss-styled chalet placed well on left side of the picture, enable good view to the mountains and valley on right side.

Czeeśc Piotrze, Ładne schronisko nad Popradskim Plesem. Byłam tam wieki temu. Konkretnie, 64 lata temu, jak to był obszar Konwencji Turystycznej. Jakie to było przeżycie wyjechać za granicę. Dla mojej wnuczki to normalka. (Póki co, to sie może skończyć szybko - ***** ***).

Hello Piotr,
The building is nice and it is beautifully situated. You will get a great view while having lunch here. You placed the building well to the side and used the tree nicely as a frame. Behind we see two fine diagonals of the mountains. The colours and light are very good.

Hello Piotr,

This is a very well composed photograph, the chalet off-centre and mimicking the shape that we usually associate with the mountains!
The conifer covered slope makes a super transition between the chalet and the stark, grey peaks, in the b/g.
The distant details of the clouds, swirling around the mountain tops, suggests we are in an elevated place!

I really like the contrast between the left hand side with that charming chalet in front of the trees and the right hand side with the steep cliffs of the mountains. Also in the terms of colour the contrast is striking.

Czesc Piotr,
Bardzo atrakcyjna kompozycja z Tatr. Schronisko przyjemnie wpasowuje sie w gorski krajobraz. Dolina ukazujaca sie tuz za schroniskiem wyglada zapraszajaco.
Chmury zaczynaja sie do niej powoli wlewac.
Zwykle pokazujesz kompletnie dzikie krajobrazy z gor ale schroniska so przeciez czescia krajobrazu.
Widze ze jednak masz slabosc do Slowacji.

An idyllic spot to make a shot being surrounded by deep greenery all around in warm light with range of peaks framing the distant. The brightly lit chalet is well placed to give a sense of depth and expanse. It's a nicely done shot, Congrats

This wooden chalet is beautiful and is in a fascinating place, next to these two slopes, where it is located with a lot of pine and the other with rocky peaks, which indicates that it must be snowed for a long time, beautifying the place more.
The management of color and light are magnificent, highlighting the beauty and sharpness of the image.
