Yesterday, was The National Day of Spain. La Fiesta Nacional de España commemorates the discovery of the Americas by Christopher Columbus for Spain on 12 October 1492, as a key point for the Spain's overseas projection and legacy to the world and in the Americas in particular and the vast, common heritage with the today's American countries, which integrated the Spanish Empire, the first global power in the world history.
I've selected this image from Plaza de España - Sevilla, a spectacular place, filled with Atletico de Madrid supporters in that moment because of a game between the local Betis Sevilla and the club from the Capital.

Many cities in Spain do have a Plaza de España but the one of Sevilla is the most beautiful of all in my opinion.
Beautiful framing and nice shadows in the foreground.
Good perspective.
Very atmospheric with the many visitors.

Hi Daniel
A good photo from Sevilla. There are just 2 problems with Columbus discovering America. Firstly he only reached islands of the West Indies and didn't make the mainland and secondly there were already plenty of people there so it wasn't "discovered". We have the same issue in Australia.

I am a little envious of you. My bus from Portugal to Cordoba stopped in Seville but unfortunately I changed buses and missed Seville. But I liked a lot the little that I saw. Good shadow play of the stone fence in the fg and excellent framing and sharpness. Tfs!

Lovely capture from this famous spot. I like the presence of the lady with red hair and striped T-shirt.
The fencing created a nice pattern with its shade.
The place is so full of people over there but your perspective has a peaceful touch as if having a moment of reflection.

Hello Daniel,
I found this large palace was very difficult for a whole edifice picture. We visited there on 06/1998 whenit was a 42C day.
Manged fairly well with many people there and fine architecture's, despite the harsh backlight on that afternoon.
