Photographer's Note

My three views of the Dutch Navy yacht Urania, taken during the Tall Ships' Parade in tEnerife, when she was overtaking us. Thes are unfortunatly the only one I took of the ship during the race.

PS Elements 6.0

I had the details about Urania taken from the website of the Dutch Naval Academy:
HNLMS Urania
There is accommodation on the Urania for three officers, two petty officers and 12 trainees (mostly midshipman from the Royal Netherlands Naval College). One very good reason for taking the trainees on board is to confront them with sea and weather, the two basic elements of their future careers as seamen. For this reason Urania makes a lot of training trips Out of Den Helder every year from March to November and to many countries. As well as these training trips (about 120 days a year) she sails in the spring and autumn for the purpose of Public Relations (about 40 days a year).
The high points of these trips are the races organized by the “Sail Training International”
