Photographer's Note
This is a focus on 'Casa Batllò', one of the most famous and innovative buildings of Antoni Gaudì, the architect of Modernism that worked in Barcelona in the first years of 1900.
The building was designed by Gaudì for Josep Batllò, a wealthy aristocrat, as an upmarket home. Senor Batlló lived in the lower two floors with his family and the upper floors were rented out as apartments.
From the outside the facade of Casa Batllò looks like it has been made from sculls and bones (the "skulls" are balconies and the "bones" are supporting pillars).
But the most impressive element of this building is the extraordinary use of colours and shapes for the facade, that Gaudi found in marine life and in nature coral as inspiration.

It is an abstract compo of an artist's work. The way you included some distinct patterns on the edges create a natural frame.

Very nice! I was there last year and I fall in love with all the architecture of Gaudi ( an others)in Barcelona. In your shot I like the contrast between the nice colours and shadows in the left top...
Thank you for share!
