I know that there are probably dozens of shots from Casa Batllo in Barcelona, but this is another take from the rooftop.

"Arrangements of chimneys and vents at Casa Batllo, decorated with 'trencadis' appear to reproduce the growth of groups of types of mushrooms, plants or sea crustaceans." [Visual guide to the complete work of Gaudi.}

The inclusion of the people give an idea of the scale of the chimneys.It was so busy up there, it was very difficult to take any shots without someone walking into view!

Interesting photo with a fine view on these fanous chimneys. The details of the ones nearby in the shade and the weathered colors of the other series taken out from the total building provide a completely different imGe.

actually I don`t mind the people encroaching into the frame, they do as you mention in your note give a nice sense of scale amongst the incredible designs of Gaudi`s chimneys.

That's really an amazing work of Gaudi, the chimneys are eye-catching, excellent photo with good light and perfect sharpness

Hello Jean,

It is almost impossible not to get people in frame in such a confined space as the rooftop of Casa Batllo. Thanks for sharing this. I only have shots of the exterior from street level taken in the afternoon and again at night when it's lit up. More interesting Gaudi sculptures. Hi Jean,
It does not matter that other people showed it before. I always like to have my own picture. It is just a great satisfaction to have your own version, and as it seems every day there are slightly different conditions and people select different angles so it is very much worth to share the views of famous places as well. Very original composition with the dark silhouettes in the foreground and the tourists admiring the other part in a full warm sunshine.
