Declarada Monumento natural por la Consejería de Medio Ambiente de la Junta de Galicia.

Actualmente, visitar esta playa es cosa obligada, es como ir a Santiago de Compostela o San Andrés de Teixido.
Cientos de personas esperan a que baje la marea para poder pasear y admirar este lugar. No es una playa donde su principal objetivo sea el baño, aquí se viene a mirar las cuevas, los arcos y las formas que el mar ha ido modelando con su erosión.

Una playa bien vigilada por Protección Civil, que a medida que sube o baja la marea ellos van acotando o dando paso a la gente.
