L'Hemisfèric was inaugurated on April 16, 1998, the first of the buildings with which today includes the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia.
It was designed by the Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava, like the rest of the city. It has an area of 14,000 sq meters, is surrounded by water and is a major human eye that opens to the world: it is "the eye of wisdom" ..

L'Hemisfèric of Santiago Calatrava has been running for 10 years providing entertainment to visitors in the more than 14,000 Meters2 occupying "his eye." Whether in the display of 900 m2 which covers the same roof, or along the entire dome, with the projection system installed in 2007, spectators can enjoy in Castilian, Catalan, Spanish or French of the best projections film of the moment.

when I was in Valencia a few years back I shot so many photos here in the City of Arts, and all of such an incredible boredom... so I thank you for showing me Calatrava's work under a different light!

spectacular shot of L'Hemisfèric!
The colouration and sky formation give dramatic feeling, atmosphere where the L'Hemisfèric appear like a globe, source for all this happening around it.
Dynamic, impressive, important...as this building deserves it.

Muy impresionante toma de arquitectura moderna, el edificio es genial, pero esa foto me gusta, sobre todo, por us ambiente magico, tiene algo futuristico y a la vez romantico, no puedo explicarlo bien! Gran encuadre y composicion, gran manejo de la luz! Felicidades!

Hola Luis,
Vaya partidazo que le has sacado a la luz, creo que es lo que hace a esta foto tan especial. Estamos acostumbrados a ver estos edificios con cielos azules o en tomas nocturnas, pero tengo que decir en tu favor que esta visión es mucho mas original y además a mi me encanta. El efecto dramático es impresionante.
