South West of Antequera is the hill town of Ronda. It is very popular with to visit for those staying along the coast so is best explored early in the morning or late afternoon when it is much less crowded.
Here is a photo of what most come to see - Ronda's amazing bridge over the 102m deep gorge. This is the second bridge over the gorge, the first having been built in 1735. Unfortunately, the bridge was quickly and poorly built and collapsed just 6 years later killing 50 people.
The current bridge was finished in 1793 and has stood the test of time.
The top of the gorge to the left is crowded with cliff top buildings - go to the workshop to see it.
