Photographer's Note
El Lago Verde is a popular name of this interesting lagoon, but its official name is El Charco de los Clicos. It is located near the town of El Golfo. Its green color is supposedly caused by a type of algae living in it (Ruppia maritima) in addition to high content of sulfur compounds.
Lago Verde was featured in the movie One Million Years B.C. (1966) with Raquel Welch who bathed in it. Now it is surrounded by a fence. In fact, you can spot the stretch of the fence in this photo on the right side of the lake. It is the only element which may help you to imagine the scale of the place.
I took wider photos of this lagoon as well, but the sun was not in a favourable position when I visited and the sky was quite densely covered with clouds, hence I was forced to get rid of the sky and sea as well. I found a wider view of this lake in the context of the ocean beach on TrekEarth in the photo by ilDottore:

Hello Mariusz,
What a very strange lake! But the black beach and the red rocks in the foreground are just as important for the impact of the photo. The entire view looks like something out of an artist's imagination.

Gert

Hello Mariusz,
El Lago Verde in simple translation is the green lake, no wonder - it is uniquely green...
Good contrast from the volcanic rocks in black, red & brown colors surround.
Unusual for sure.
Wish you a nice weekend,
Ike

Hello Mariusz,
Wow, what a fantastic place, it looks really spectacular, not only because of that green lake, but also because of the black sand around it and the beautiful shapes of the rocks in the background. Fantastic photo with good light!
Lars
PS - You're right, it was my first real visit to Bavaria. Before I had only once crossed it by train on my way to Vienna, but now that I have started posting my photos of last summer it might quickly become my most photographed German state on TE. :-)

Hello Mariusz,
The tourists have stayed away this time. Even no one to see on the outside of the fence. Maybe this is very remote.
I like your inclusion of the red rocks in the foreground to create more colour contrast with the green lake (officially a puddle in Spanish).
I also looked at the photo of your compatriot you mention. There the lake seems very small and it is strange to see it like that with the ocean nearby.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Mariusz
Interesting and colourful with lots of good detail in the rock wall.
And ... by the way as you didn't seem aware of Australia's involvement in WW1: From our then population of fewer than five million, 416,809 men enlisted, of whom more than 60,000 were killed and 156,000 wounded, gassed, or taken prisoner.
cheers

Hello Mariusz,
A perfect location for a prehistoric movie set that looks like something from another planet, although I am not sure I would want to swim in this brackish water. Good colour and sharpness. Tfs!

Hi Mariusz,
Green colour is indeed quite strange. An it is almost the only think green in this place. You are right, it is difficult to estimate scale when there is practically no vegetation.

Verde it is! Strange effect, a bit other-worldly, scifi-like...
Great picture, Mariusz. Thanks for sharing & enjoy your week.

Hello Mariusz,
Incan see why this lake has its name and I don't think a lot of people are going for a swim here.
Good colorful composition.
Thanks and regards,

Hello Mariusz, this scene could almost be viewed as an abstract, as it is composed of a strange mix of colours and textures.
A very strange phenomenon. I have never seen anything like it before.
Thanks for the informative notes.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi Mariusz.
A very good composition with this curious green lagoon, I like how you have played with the colors, on the right a little reddish lava, on the left some beige tones, as a background the textures of the volcanic rock.
Nice color, superb brightness and sharpness management to capture details.
Very well done. I like it.
Have a good start to the week.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hello Mariusz,
This is an unusual sight, TFS. The link you have provided shows the lagoon in context, but your lagoon has a more attractive color.
Regards,
MT
