Photographer's Note
This is from the observation deck on the 22nd floor of the so called Skanskaskrapan, officially Lilla Bommen 1.
What are they looking at? See the view here in the WS.
Down below is the barque "Viking" and the Gothenburg Opera.
In the far distance you can see the Älvsborg bridge and view towards Skagerrak.

HI Gunnar,
Splendid observation point. With this glass wall I wouldn't feel well. Nice to have human's elements here, specially in such a bright shirt. fantastic Viking.

Hello Gunnar,
The photographer observes the observers - has a certain ring to it ;-) A well composed shot; the two watchers are well included and contribute much to the mood. Very good light and some interesting shadow play across the lovely wooden floor. Excellent colours and clarity.

Whilst the view in the WS is good I much prefer this one with the young couple looking out of the window. There are also some interesting reflections and shadows adding to the enjoyment of the image.

Hello Gunnar,
The strong diagonal created by the gaze of the two observers, takes the eye straight across the image from the top right to the bottom left. Your trade mark red shirt is, as usual, in evidence, and the red whites and blues of the image combine in making an attractive picture that I think I would instantly recognize as one of yours.
The scene divides neatly into two halves the view and the viewers. The viewers are intent on the scene below them, and it's interesting how the position of their legs is identical.
Some interesting shadows across the floor too.
The full rigged ship and the harbour make a fine prospect, the only problem I find with the left part is the reflection in the sky in the top pane.
There are, of course, unavoidable reflections throughout, and it would be best not to take any notice of them.
To remove all of them would be nigh on impossible, but I wondered if I could do something about that particular one.
To that end I've tried a WS for your consideration.
Kind regards,
Peter.

Hej Gunnar,
A bit similar to your latest photo, a man in a red shirt looking down on a view. But I like this composition better, because there is less disturbance in the background. The vertical and diagonal lines and the reflections in the windows create some interesting effects in the foreground. Concerning the ws: a nice view but just a view, whereas this picture is a Picture.
Hälsningar,
Gert

Hallo Gunnar!
This must be a wonderful and worth visiting placewith a most interesting outlook. Including these visitors somehow gives the feeling of "being there" and the view down to the rigged sailing ship really is an eyecatcher here.
By the way, I'm impressed by your skillful pp in workshop.
Greetings from a very summerly Siegen!

Gunnar,
Impressive record of what you actually saw, but chosen to make a picture. And the four-master is just breathtaking.

Bonjour Gunnar,
une photo trčs propre et trčs nette, bien dosée sur tous les plans avvec une grande profondeur liée bien entendu ā l'altitude du POV.
C'est un plus bien cadré.
Regards.
Daniel.

Hej Gunnar,
I like the POV and composition. The foreground elements are nicely positioned and the view of the visitors lead leads the eye to the nice wide panorama. Good control of light and amazing sharpness. The WS is a good complementary photo.
Hälsningar,

Hej Gunnar,
very lovely panoramic view from inside, with people adding the scene a sense of depth and vivid colours :) especially with a bit of ships below (+ an interesting WS photo).
When I am in Göteborg I should visit this observation deck, too!
Sorry, it will surely be a joke: I have an impression that you specially carry a red t-shirt with you and, if a person whom you often include in your photos, is not wearing a red piece of clothes, you offer him/her to put on a red t-shirt ;-)
Honestly, now, whenever I decide to take a photo, I always see someone wearing something red, too! LOL or at least a red car passing by! This is "TE-contagious", I am sure :)
with very best wishes,
Elena
