The Foot-Bridge, a photo from Uppland, Svealand

Photographer's Note

This little foot-bridge (Vastgotaspangen) across the River Fyris in Uppsala was built in 1862 and replaced a ferry. Today when there are 7-8 bridges in central Uppsala and when the next bridge is very close it is difficult to understand that there has been a need for a ferry here. However, in the 19th century the buildings and houses were much closer to the river than today.

I love this shot! The composition is incredible. How did you capture so much beauty through your lens? The footbridge and buildings themselves are great, but add the reflection and you have made an outstanding photo.
The cherry on the cake are the leaves brushing the top of the photo. They frame it in and make me feel like I am right there with you.

Very sharp, and nice reflections on the water. I like that leave on the top of the picture they contrast well with the subject. Fantastic composition. Your other photos from Uppsala are also amazing, but this is superb.
