Photographer's Note

Djurgården is a big island in Stockholm that mainly consists of parks. In the west end of it there are some museums, the zoo Skansen and the amusent park Gröna Lund.

The name Djurgården means "animal farm" or "animal court" and it was once an estate where the royal family´s livestock was kept.

Djurgårdsfärjorna (Djurgården ferries) is a system of waterbuses that run around between some bridges on the salt water side of Stockholm. They do not only go to Djurgården and can be used to take short cuts.
