River of Mist, a photo from Graubunden, East

Photographer's Note

Morning mist winding along the Albula valley. Before God gave us Photoshop unsightly objects like this electricity pylon had to be removed by Semtex, but in this case I decided not to bother because it gives a focal point to the scene, and without it the picture would be rather empty.

I like this picture. Nice detail shot of mountainworld. It's remarkeble that no one rate this picture. Maybe you must present it a little bit better. For example. increase a bit of sharpness, saturate the (blue) colour and make a nice framework. It's maybe worth to consider to do so.

Hello Alan,
I was browsing through your gallery and this photo caught my attention. I am more of a commercial photographer but I appreciate other photographer's POVs. You are obviously not a "graphic realist" and you seem to gravitate to the more surreal and subtle photographic renditions. You have a unique style and one that is not apparent at first. This is wonderful photography!

Hello Alan! This is a very interesting photo even in the miniature. I like the zigzag of the fog over the valley. Though I usually avoid shooting cables and wires, these really aid the composition leading our eye into the picture. I opened the photo expecting to find quite a large number of critiques... That's the way things work, you know!
Very good work, and a very interesting gallery!
