Photographer's Note

Schynige Platte, with the peaks of the Loucherhorn and Ussri Sägissa beyond and a bank of alpine flowers in the foreground, including Delphinium elatum. I used as small an aperture as I could safely hand-hold in order to try to get both the mountains and the foreground flowers in acceptable focus.
This is towards the beginning (or end, depending which way you go) of the famous Schynige Platte to First walk, one of the classic hikes in Switzerland. On Schynige Platte is an almost equally famous Botanical Gardens, specializing in alpine plants. This photograph was taken outside the Garden, but shows the lovely array of wild flowers that adorn the Swiss uplands in Summer.
