Photographer's Note
Gruyères is a medieval town in the district of Gruyère in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. Gruyères is first mentioned around 1138-39 as de Grueri. The town developed beneath the castle, which the Count of Gruyere had built on top of the hill, to control the upper Saanen valley. By 1195-96 it became a market town with a central street and city walls. The town developed separately of the castle.

Hello Trevor ,
What a picturesque little town ! Splendid composition , with an excellent management of the quite poor light . We can see that winter is approaching , with the snow on the summits in the BG .
I don't know if the people atr locals or tourists , but the street is very lively .

Hello Trevor,
Though you don't mention it, it is no doubt home to the famous Swiss cheese. I like very much the point of view and the busy lively atmosphere. The background mountains make a fine focal point and set the scene in context. A rather grey day, but the light and colours are very agreeable. Excellent sharpness.

Hej Trevor,
Gert

Hello Trevor,
Your POV is well chosen using the pedestrian street to lead the eye through the shot. The people add life to the scene. Your light management is great bringing out fine detail and color in less than perfect lighting. The snow covered mountains in the background provides a nice backdrop for the shot.

Asa

Hi Trevor,
Centre of this little town is indeed beautiful, with old houses and cobblestones. Background mountain looks also great, adding even more Swiss feeling. Cloudy light is not best possible. This could look good also in B&W, giving more timeless look.
