Photographer's Note
Teamwork's F-16 of the Royal Netherlands Air Force just after his "Touch & Go", during the airshow "Air 04" in Payerne - Switzerland.
Over the years, the F-16 has become one of the largest and most successful military aircraft in aviation history. And nowadays, although it is more than 30 years old, it keeps again all its freshness with a stunning look and a great aerodynamic. This fighter is always in production (today more than 4300 copies in 24 countries) and benefit from technological innovations permanently. It is to date one of the least costly modern fighters. Its price is about $24 millions. With an average operating cost of $2,200 per hour of flight, the F-16 is always more cheaper than for instance the $4,500 of the F/A-18, $4,300 for the Gripen, or over $20,000 for the Tornado.
The F-16 fleet in the world totalizes over 6,000,000 hours of flight time. A good 15% of that total were missions flown under risk, with around 50,000 combat missions, including more than 30,000 air-to-air and air-to-ground combat sorties. The F-16 Fighting Falcon has accumulated 74 air-to-air kills with no air-to-air losses except for one fratricide loss by the Pakistani Air Force when an missile switched-lock onto a wingman.
The F-16 has been in continuous combat operations around the globe since 1981. Of 74 kills achieved by the F-16 in the world, 47 are accredited to the Israeli forces. In 1982, F-16s played a key role in Operation "Drugstore", an attack on Syrian missiles sites in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. Numerous missiles sites were attacked and destroyed, and fierce air battles with Syrian fighters took place. A total of 92 Syrian aircrafts (more than 30% of total Syrian inventory) were shot down, and Israeli F-16s achieved a victories ratio of 44-0.

Salut Philippe,
Il me semblait bien qu'il me disait quelques chose celui-ci.

P.S. : La note est excellente.

My next life (?), I would like to be a aircraft pilot, but now I'm here and my Sea and Ground result. Don't mind because life is a routine and in all natural elements for also of us all. So, I like your mouvement, impulsive, emotional and also your decisive moments, because there is a insight in your way, to transmit quality in the air element and here you do very well.
Simplicitty, imagination, creativity, composition and excelent quality sudden moment picture.
Well done and thanks for sharing!

Nice continuation to the previous one of this plane. Linked together I can easily imagine seeing the entire touch and go. As in others the sheer power of the aircraft is well captured as well as the beautiful and aerodynamic lines of this craft. And the G-forces can even be imagined as it accelerates. It is quite an impressive aircraft, even after all these years as you say. And that is amazing about the operational cost of the Tornado. What a difference!

One of the Best Photographs that I have Seen of Air shows all these Years.
The Nicely Captured Smoke reflects the amount of thrust that this Plane has been Provided with. Its near Verticle Climb is exilrating ,just to look at ... I wonder what it might feel flying One.

Well captured Philippe;
You really managed to freeze the action, and I like the addition of the smoke. With the words Teamwork on the wings- you could almost sell this as a "motivational poster" you often see in offices etc. Hahaha.
Cheers,
