An autumn walk in Gruyères, a photo from Fribourg, West

Photographer's Note

If you had only two hours to visit the medieval town of Gruyères and its castle in Switzerland, where would you spend your time? In the castle with its 8 centuries of architecture, history and culture? In one of the many restaurants enjoying the cuisine and atmosphere? In the Giger museum? In the tourist shops? or walking around the town and castle grounds? It is not possible to do all of these things in two hours so I decided to take in the views around the castle and its grounds.
This view was taken on a walking track below the castle. The two people in the distance have divertef from the main track and are heading towards a nearby hamlet. The two nearest the camera took the same diversion after I had taken this photo.

The Castle of Gruyères located in the medieval town of Gruyères, Fribourg, is one of the most famous in Switzerland. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.

Hej Trevor,
Återigen en mycket vacker och trevlig komposition. Den bruna förgrunden kontrasterar fint mot den gröna dalgången och allt är snyggt inramat av träden. Du fångade mycket påpassligt två personer i det övre planet och två nedanför, så att både de dominerande ytorna fylldes upp med människor.
Det låter på din beskrivning som att två dagar i Gruyères skulle vara bättre än två timmar ;-).

L'automne dans ce qu'elle a de plus beau et agréable.Marcher, les pieds enfouis dans les feuilles mortes, le silence des sous-bois et les très belles couleurs. Le bonheur.

Hello Trevor, a dilemma!How best to spend two hours?
I think that you probably made the right choice. This shot provides an invitation, we want to follow and see where it leads to.
A very good composition with several diagonals which guide the eyes around the picture.
