A LITTLE BIT SHARPER VERSION - MAYBE?!?

I spent almost an entire day just walking around Geneva, mostly revisiting places I had seen for the first time back in 2005, but during winter time!
It was an experience of rediscovering the city and falling in love with it once more and even more!

Back in 2005, I stayed for the longest time, during my traveling around Switzerland, in GENEVA. It was one of the coldest winters in that city, with all the boats being frozen and broken in Lake Léman!
I visited the city itself and some places around like Gstaad, Montreux, Annecy and Chamonix-Mont Blanc.
This time, a shorter stay, but I truly enjoyed rediscovering it!
It was supposed to rain all the time, but I had a pretty beautiful day (although there were times of rain and cloudy skies).
VIEUX GENÈVE is small, but wonderful!

This is my second traveling to Switzerland. The first time was back in 2005, when I visited Zurich, Lucern, Bern, Geneva, Gstaad, Zermatt, St. Moritz and Lugano (and also included Annecy and Chamonix-Mont Blanc/France and Vaduz/Liechtenstein). That time, I traveled in january/february, so I found everything completely white.
This year's visit is part of my 50 year old birthday's celebration and I had to choose it out of some other options and did it because Zermatt was a place that was kept so strongly in my mind!
One important thing about that other trip and this picture is that I went back to skiing, after my last time in Colorado, in 1983, in the Gornergrat area, in 2005.

Espléndida vista de Ginebra. El carrusel añade un poco de color a esos colores neutros.

Salut Neyvan,
C'est bien composé avec ce manège très coloré en premier plan et la bonne perspective entre les immeubles, elle dirige le regard vers l'horizon marin, bonne gestion des contrastes de luminosité.

it completely takes over as the focal point.

yet, the city views in the bg are still very attractive as well.

Hello Ney,
Excellent downwards point of view. The brightly coloured carousel in the foreground makes a fine anchor point and directs us towards the lake glimpsed through the gap between the buildings. An agreeably illuminated image with a pleasing colour palette and very good sharpness.

i really like the way you have framed the picture. the blue and yellow become the pivotal force in an otherwise blandly colored photo.love the view of the street and the architecture.

Un très beau point de vue qui utilise parfaitement le carrousel comme point de départ qui se poursuit dans le boulevard vers le lac au loin. Une belle image profonde et lumineuse.

The carousel with the blue and yellow coloured roof certainly catches attention and foreground interest. Beautiful architecture in the background. We even get a glimpse of the lake. Very nice work:) Thanks.

Hello Ney,

The multi-coloured top of the roundabout makes an excellent f/g attraction and makes a very natural lead, between the buildings, towards the harbour. You have used a fine dof, keeping the interest throughout the shot.
