Started from Laax to join the superb point of view of Conn, via the Lake Cauma (located on the commune of Flims), I stopped a few moments in front of this splendid country cottage to benefit from the last sunbeams of the day.
Conn is a place appreciated for its tranquility, its gastronomy and especially its splendid point of view on the gorges of the Rhine and the close tops (in the center of the image, the Fulhorn).

Excellent choix de lieu pour passer des vacances en hiver!
Un paysage superbe qui fait penser au grand espace du grand nord Canadien. Il ne manque qu'un atelage de chien de traineau devant la porte.
Très belle lumière également.

Hello Christophe,

Je vois que tu as ramené quelques images des alpes ! J'aime beaucoup le sommet qui emérge de la forêt en arrière plan !
L'emplilement de bois au premier plan apporte juste ce qu'il faut de couleur vive !

Alors tu as réuissi à trouver la neige ? De plus, il y en a beaucoup.
Sympa tout ce bois empiler et le ciel bleu qui fait tout ressortir une merveille.
Il me semble que tu aie une petite poussière sur ton capteur (en bas à gauche).

Et bien la neige est donc là! Je n'en ai pas profité en décembre..et c'est si beau ces paysages sous le manteau blanc.

This is a beautiful wintery scene Christophe. What a quaint little cottage. Your image is beautifully sharp and this gives the impression that one can reach out and feel the snow the texture shows through so well. Very nice indeed.

ah ben pour une fois qu'on voit une photo de neige qui n'est pas tiree des archives ca fait plaisir ! Une belle vue dont j'apprecie la luminosite et les blancs eclatants, ce cadrage vertical approprie presente tous les elements d'une belle scene de montagne et n'oublie pas la magie de la neige restee sur les arbres.

Mais c'est un endroit paradisiaque!. Et au vu du tas de bois, l'hiver doit y être rude parfois.
Belle compo avec une très belle lumière. Le pic au loin, entre les cimes des arbres et émergeant des nuages est superbe.

seeing this photo I can understand your last critique
of my photo and remark about sharpness!

You see, I think you're oversharpening your photos and
this one is a good example. It is so sharp that it's full
of sharpening artifacts - not only on edges, but even in
the clear blue sky! So it looks like there's a grain in
your blue sky, but it's not - it's oversharpening (okay,
there's something down to JPG compression as well).
Apart from these technical bits, it's a very good image,
and well composed, colours are great - and what I like
above everything is the fact that the snow is white (and
not blue, which I really dislike).
