Kherson mayor denies Russia has taken cityrnIn the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson, the Russian army claims it has captured the city but its mayor says it is still held by Ukrainian forces.
Centre of Kharkiv turned into bombed-out wasteland. After Russia started its invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, over 830 thousand refugees left their homes in Ukraine and headed toward Western countries. Most of them fled to Poland (453 thousand)

I was in Kherson in 2010 but I have no photos. So instead the photos from the Orthodox church in Mykolaiv that is not far from there. What would be next? Odessa?
In the Workshops, two more photos from this church (I like the orthodox churches, their atmosphere, candles and first of all, how they sing).

I would like to share photos of beautiful places in Ukraine with the hope they will not be destroyed. Also, as a sign of solidarity with the people. I watched on FB a moving video of a young girl from Belarus. The young people support Ukraine and are against Lukashenka.
The points or not are of no importance. I don't care.

Out of personal solidarity I will give you points. ;-) But also because these photos are beautiful and well exposed. I also like the atmosphere of Orthodox churches, even though to me as a "secular Lutheran" they are almost as exotic as Hindu temples.
But you must edit the note!

Ciao Malgo,the photos are truly magnificent and we really hope that these jewels will not get lost under the bombing. Maybe tomorrow there will be a new meeting, let's hope for the best. A useful thing about these bad days is that it has made border countries like yours understand what it means to have refugees, after Italy and Greece have found themselves alone for years welcoming refugees from Syria and Libya, evidently there are series A and series B refugees. Beautiful paintings on this church. Colours are quite bright, especially reds. The arch frames the view nicely.
Of our small group of remaining TE users, quite many have visited Ukraine, and it is good to see support for the people here.

Mykolaiv is completely unknown to me.
The situation is currently not good in Kherson and in Kharkov.
Have you ever been to Dombass too?
Here you show us three incredibly colourful photos of the church interior.
It is a very strange feeling to look at such a beautiful interior while knowing what is going on in the country.

Great religious artwork picture, Malgo. Sadly in occasion with the news. The blue/yellow of the shrine reminds me of the Ukraine flag. Not sure if this was intended like that by the religious artisans.

the main post isn't so sharp, but it is so beautiful, curious as they used the national colors here. I liked the priest in the first WS and the special dome shown in the last WS.
how much time putin's dream will last ? merkel said he thinks like a governor of 19th century, and she was right.
