Photographer's Note
This is the run off from the dam end of Burrator Resevoir on Dartmoor. In summer and winter this is a meeting place for people who wish to go walking on the moor or to just sit and enjoy the views. It is three and a half miles around the resevoir, and takes roughly two hours to complete the circuit.I can remember many years ago when we had a severe drought Burrator nearly dried up and it was possible to actually walk across the dried and cracked resevoir. Granite walls and buildings could be seen ,which would normally be under water.

Hello Gladys,
A well chosen point of view to catch the dam walls and the rushing waters. I like the framing from the surrounding greenery, which makes a pleasant contrast. Perhaps not quite as sharp as it might be particularly along the dam wall, but not a major issue. It is useful when taking pictures of waterfalls to play around with the exposure settings to see which brings the most dynamism to the scene. Just a suggestion.

I would give a lot more points to this shot. It's well framed and composed and shows the true power and brutality of the dam. The running water and the deep green surroundings are evocative. T>Y> Jancsi
