Hello Everyone,

After a few sunny days, we have been hit with very wintery weather!
Friday and Saturday were characterised by very strong winds and now the snow has arrived.

This cottage gate has a jackdaw carved on its top. With the heavy snowfall, it developed a special haircut, a bit like a crewcut!

I will add a workshop showing a view of the whole gate.

(Captured on my phone on a walk to the village shop.)

Here in Amsterdam we 'enjoyed' three days of rain in a row.

Hello Bev,
I heard of the tough weather in your part of England but I hadn't expected such an amusing photo coming out of it. We get a very nice wider view in the WS, but this closer look at the black bird with a white wig is much funnier.
Seeing this I can't wait for a heavy snowfall followed by sunshine. So far we have had very little snow in Stockholm, barely even covering shady areas.

A jackdaw bird with snowy head...
Snow arrived relatively early this year, I guess, Beverley.
Cold, yet beautiful photography opportunities.
The WS is no-less beautiful sight, a debate which was due for a main post, I bet.

Hi Bev,

There was snow falls in my area on November 26 and 27. The point of view is showing the details of the sculpture of the bird covered with snow. The light is giving good colors rendering. Have a nice day.

We have also had snow here in the Midlands. Disappeared very much but getting a few more flurries now.

I see glad snow but not in my garden !! to cold for my.
You WS are also a value for a main picture, with the cat as guard

Hello Beverley, an unusual gate with the jackdaw situated atop. It makes a good focal point for your shot.
The snow outlines its shape very nicely.
Thanks for the workshop picture putting everything into context.
We have had the winds but no snow.

Hello Beverley,
The white hood provides a funny view of the black bird.
But also the cat likes the same hat.
A lot of snow must have fallen out, judging by what was left on the hedge, the branches of the tree and the roof.
We have only had snow in the southeast of the country near Germany that has the highest location.
However, rain falls in most of the country.

I heard on the news first about the storm and today I saw some picture of the snowy weather in the UK. A great shot of this wooden sculpture, I really like how the snow covers the bird. Very well captured!

Hi Bev,even if a little early, the snow offers the opportunity to take new, slightly different photos, you were lucky and these two shots are very beautiful, we open the dance for the winter season, excellent quality. It seems incredible but instead of me this night had a typical summer storm with lightning, thunder and hail .. ahaha ... never seen such a thing at the end of November. You had quite a lot of fresh snow. We had also a bit of snow but it melted before very quickly. The black bird with this haircut looks amusing.

these adornments in the white gate are funny and curious and added a special aspect to it. your photo with the snow has a funny aspect and it is so beautiful too.

Hi Bev.
A nice and splendid detail of that decoration on the door, which shows us that winter has already arrived with that snowfall, in the WS photo, we see more widely how it has curdled in bushes and on the stone, very pleasant to see it from home, here we also have colder and snowy a lot but in the northern part of the country.
A magnificent range of colors, in very attractive tones,
Good brightness and sharpness management.
