Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

I would like to share with you the view of this old house. I know that these old stone houses don't suit everyone but I just loved this house.

I couldn't find any details about it on the Internet and when we were there, no-one was about to ask.

It looks like an old manor house, with its rows of mullioned windows. At a time when glass could only be produced in relatively small pieces and was expensive to buy, a house like this would have relatively good light and would look expensive.

I wondered if this might be the vicarage as it was quite close to St Alkelda's Church but seemingly not!

I was curious about the far right window, on the first floor, as it was a different shape to the others.

My workshop shows the house from a different view, with the upper windows closer.

Anyway, perhaps we can just enjoy looking at it, without knowing its origins.

Thanks for your interest, Bev :-)
