Photographer's Note
This shot is of Bamburgh Castle, on the Northumberland Coast.
It was taken at mid-day, so unfortunately the light is rather harsh, but I like the sense of scale that you get, especially with the tiny figures just visible on the strip of beach in the foreground.
PP involved cropping more tightly on the Castle, cloning out a few brightly dressed figures that were distracting on the castle walls, and making the sky a slightly more attractive shade of blue.
I intend to return to Bamburgh soon, at dawn or dusk, to rework this location with a more attractive light.

The light is harsh but the sight is impressive. The fortress is very large. It looms over the beach. It appears to rise as part of the natural landscape, also. It seems a bit soft, too. It needs just a touch of sharpening, I think. But impressive and great contrast with the fortress and the people on the beach so leisurely and with such color. Two different worlds meeting. Nicely photographed.

One of my favourite castles this one, not far from where I live. We are lucky to have so many excellent castles in our area. As for your photo I think i'd have shown a little more of the coastline especially the sea to the left so perhaps a more distant shot of the castle. Still very nice indead, Well done.
