Photographer's Note

The 101st post is another from the Back library, too cold round here for these beasties this time of the year. Taken back at the end of June on a sunnier day. I am very surprised when reviewing the files that this one hasnt been posted before.
This pair of common Blue Damselflies (Enallagma cyathigerum) are in the wheeled mating position. they will then open out into tandom and fly off to lay the resulting eggs into the weed floating on or near the surface of the water. even to the point of ducking her under the water.
Taken with the Sony F707, ISO 100 , spot metred F5.6 @ 1/500sec in macro mode.
PS7 adjustments open and crop 21 X 21 cm @ 600dpi
saturation +10 lightness -3
Brightness -3 contrast +8
USM 131% X1.9px Rad. X threshold 1.
save to print file then resize to 800px @72dpi and use save to web to save file 197K to TE posting file.
