This Methodist Church on Faringdon Road in Southmoor has got a lot of character. Some of it must be coming from the red-brick trimmings and the contrast with this mossed-out rock slabs. It stands on the corner of the street, looking out, its gaze is neither smiling nor reprimanding. I wouldn't call it emotionless or blank either. It's a little aloof maybe. The combined villages of Kingston Bagpuize and Southmoor are on the A415 Abingdon to Witney road 5 mi W of Abingdon just off the A420, which now bypasses the villages. On the edge of the village on the approach from Frilford and Abingdon is the C17 Kingston House.
