Photographer's Note

'Constable Country' is a small area along the valley of the river Stour which includes East Bergholt and Flatford on the Suffolk side and Dedham and Langham on the Essex side. To this day much of the countryside would easily be recognised by John Constable (1776-1837) whose paintings of the area helped give birth to English landscape painting.
This photo is taken on the walk between Dedham and Flatford just before Flatford and looking in the direction of Dedham.
Scanned from 35mm negative.
