I interrupt my series of photos from La Palma to show off that I had the pleasure to meet one of our fellow Trek Earth members, Hemant Buch (hemantbuch), a brilliant photographer. We visited few places around Newcastle with the culmination at the blue hour in Newcastle upon Tyne. I will upload as a workshop a photo of us together on the Tyne Bridge.

These days are obviously the longest days in the northern hemisphere and thinking about the famous white nights which Piotr recently presented in his photos from St Petersburg, I thought Newcastle is not too much off. We walked with Hemant until the midnight and it was still relatively bright.

This is a view from the Tyne Bridge towards High Level Bridge at the top and the Swing Bridge at the bottom. I have already a collection of photos of many Newcastle stunning bridges but not from this angle.

The photo was recorded in RAW format and its only processing came from the RAW to JPG conversion without any extra HDR enhancement. I am still not certain about the brightness adjustment. I do it solely based on the appearance on my laptop screen, but I have a feeling this screen is showing everything better than it is. So later watching the same photo on other computers I feel I would do different settings.

A great evening one from Newcastle. perfect composition making sure all of the lowere bridge's structures are included. Good colour and sharpness.

Hi Mariusz,

I like the repetition of the arches on the bg bridge. The fg arched bridge is less elaborate but elegant and functional. The arrow shaped pier is unusual. Tfs!

It's always good to hear about TE meetings taking place. This is a stunning photo from Newcastle. The bridges look amazing and they are lit so beautifully and also reflected so well in the motionless water. A fantastic night shot with great sharpness.

Hello Mariusz,

I think this is a beautiful photograph!
Blue hour at its best.
It has a remarkable sense of tranquility, possibly because of the smoothness of the water and the sense of safety, created by the plethora of bright, twinkling lights.
I like how the arrow-shaped platform points into the corner and starts our journey, at a diagonal, into the scene. It is also, quite exciting how the bridges take an opposing route.

Ładny zakątek miasta mieliście do fotografowania. Te przedłużone wieczory to taki wakacyjny bonus zwłaszcza gdy ktoś już powrócił z urlopu.
Sądząc po waszym ubiorze na zdjęciu w warsztacie nie macie takich temperatur jakie bywają ostatnio w PL.
Świetna kolorystyka - podoba mi się bardzo połączenie niebieskiego nieba z czerwienią mostu na pierwszym planie. Ładne odbicia w wodzie to kolejny plus tej fotografii.

A very nice composition with different long lines running into opposite directions.
Pretty reflections in the water.
The beautiful colours of the blue hour combined with the red of the bridge make an attractive picture.
