Christmas Market is a great idea for outdoor activity in this time of the year. The best Christmas markets I have experienced in Germany. Each little town has own traditions. Mulled wine is a must. Originally, I thought they are quite boring but then a local friend took us to several Christmas markets pointing out some local specialities, usually sweet delicacies, and I started to love them. In England they are not that well developed but from one year to another they keep growing. On the first day of December I visited the Christmas Market in Newcastle upon Tyne.

This is a stand with fudge. There were plenty of stands with fake German sweets, but I selected this stand because I believe the fudge is something very British. As you see here, they developed all colors and tastes of it. The girl discussed something intensely with her boyfriend (not in the picture). I took several photos there and the owner of the stand was very friendly and understanding. I caught some more interesting scenes as well but this one was presenting the fudge in the best way while having some human factor.

An excellent photo and impression from the Christmas market. That is really a lot of fudge and the girl looks like she can't believe here eyes either. Great composition and good lighting. There are many appealing colours here.

The

I can imagine the delight that this girl appears to be showing at the thought of selecting her favourite fudge. What a selection she has at her disposal!
The stall is bright and colourful, a perfect foil for the focal figure who is so naturally attractive.
An excellent composition of this festive setting.

This market doesn't look look overcrowded but I have ceased attending the Manchester Christmas Market because of the crush!

interesting topic. Why? Because I have been to a few Christmas Markets here locally in Vancouver, and each time I leave somewhat disappointed. Prices are SUPER SUPER high, and the crowds tend to be annoying. So I often leave wondering why did I come here in the first place? But it sounds like you had a memorable time here. and now I'm hungry for fudge. Good to have the woman helping as she's pointing in the direction :)

I am sure that the owner would be pleased with the free publicity! The fudge looks delicious and unlike in Australia, there is not a problem with flies at this time of year, so the confectionery does not need to be covered and sells quickly at the markets. The woman seems to have spotted some that she would like to buy. Tfs.

The Christmas markets are wonderful, in the end you always buy more than you thought, especially sweets, this stall is a wonder with very varied sweets a real temptation, which we then pay with the fat gained.
