Photographer's Note
As soon as I managed to go abroad this year, I tried to avoid photos from the United Kingdom, with the aim to diversify my TrekEarth gallery. But now I am torn between showing photos from abroad and photos taken freshly in the region where I live.
It is sometimes awkward when I talk to people and mention that photography is my hobby. They usually expect that I will show them some stunning landscapes, breath-taking sunsets etc. It is indeed the direction in which many of TE members have evolved. I suppose it is awkward to admit that being so old I am still into taking snapshots, but this is what I have time for, what I enjoy, and I really treat this place as some sort of photo blog where I can share places I visited and discuss it with people who have similar interests. At the same time, I can learn about the world from you and your photos.
I have showed you the very same group of houses photographed across the River Tyne on the very same day here:

Hello Mariusz,
Every photographer makes his own pictures an have his own style.
That gives exactly the diversity of TE.
Also the different at countries and areas learn something about the world.
But people has need for changes, a pity for this site.
Nice done, TFS.
Very well done,
John

Hello Mariusz
Without the reflected light, this would be a pleasant enough urban scene, but with it, it becomes significantly elevated. If I wanted to sound pretentious I might refer to its potential symbolic implications. But I don't! Suffice to say that it's a fine photograph (with maybe too much roadway included in the foreground?)

Will

Hello Mariusz,
These may be the same buildings but has a different impetus, firstly because they are more closely detailed and secondly, because we now have a lighthouse in the f/g, casting its warning light against a grey sky.
I like how you have included the gent in red attire in the f/g. He would be even more prominent if you crop the f/g to have the pavement emerge from the corner.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

I liked a lot the use of the reflection in the top of this beautiful building. you got a special and unusual view and it was a challenge to control the impact of the light. excellent.
yes, when you is a professional of photography you can hunt the best spots and moments and the beste season and light. but we are amateurs and we should to be lucky to get the best views in our areas around or during our limited trips.
take care

Hello Mariusz,
A dark cloudy sky and bright sunshine is always a winning combination. The warm hue of the buildings looks great and the bright reflection in the corner tower really makes it look like a lighthouse. Well spotted and captured. The foreground adds a nice variety of daily life street elements.

Hello Mariusz,
Yes, I remember the building on the corner from a previous picture of yours. But then it had not yet been inaugurated as a lighthouse and the red cyclist was not yet ready to rest :)
Beautiful warm tones of the facades beyond and we discover a very modern facade whose owner and/or architect love red as much as I do.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Mariusz,I agree with you, I always prefer to show something new and fresh rather than digging in the archive, even if I have 120 thousand photos ... ahaha ... so we have to settle for Pavle-style photos, trying to do our best with new ideas. I had the snow and you with this fantastic reflection that gave the idea for the title, and in any case the perspective and the quality are truly remarkable. Have a good night and thanks,Luciano

Hi Mariusz
Fortunately we've all got our styles and different interests.
The reflected light makes this urban landscape into a spectacular photo.
cheers

Hello Mariusz,
I like TE, because here people understand (at least a great part of them) that landscapes can be boring after some time and appreciate these kind of witty shots better. I like you observation and realization.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Mariusz
The cyclist seated at right provides a striking focal point with his red jacket. Good sharpness and the reflected sunburst adds interest to the shot. Tfs!

Hello Mariusz.
A fantastic photo with that powerful spotlight that, due to the tower shape of the corner of the building, is well suited to the title of lighthouse, the series of facades well lit by the sun are very beautiful and elegant.
A magnificent color, which gives the image a lot of chromatic richness.
Excellent clarity, sharpness and perspective.
Well done. I like it.
Have a nice day.
All the best for you.
Luis
