Photographer's Note

If you would check the map of USA to see what is above (or north) of state of Vermont, you would find it is Canada. But this photo has nothing to do with it. The Vermont is a hotel in the Newcastle upon Tyne. The hotel is described in Google Maps as “the upscale lodging with a posh lounge and bar”. “ABOVE” is described there as “the glam rooftop bar for cocktails and dining”.
This is another photo taken from the top of the castle keep of the Newcastle Castle. After seeing that lovely rooftop bar, we tried to get there as well but they didn’t let us in. I know what you think, that maybe it was due to my face, poor clothing or the Eastern European accent, ha ha. No, I think it was rather because they had an organized event there, a wedding or something like that. Instead, we had a drink in the posh lounge and bar of the Vermont Hotel, ha ha. The spire of the church behind is of All Saints Church. It dominates the Newcastle panorama and is easy to spot from many points in the town. To see it from a very different angle click here:

Info about the church from Wikipedia
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Saints%27_Church,_Newcastle_upon_Tyne)
All Saints' Church is a late 18th-century church in Lower Pilgrim Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, England, which replaced a medieval church on the same site. All Saints' Church is the only elliptical church building in England, the third tallest religious building in Newcastle and the ninth-tallest structure in the city overall.
